Great Product. Affordable. Works Well. Start with lower concentration if you are new.
This stuff is concentrated. 1% Retinol it says. I thought my skin was acclimated to this serum, but I guess not. I used it twice and now have a bit of retinol burn across my cheeks but I’m not bothered by it. I recommend starting with a lower dose if you haven’t used it before. I know how eager we all are for the fastest results and that included me. I’m waiting for my skin to heal and then will continue using it. I’m hoping to fade some middle-aged brown spots. I love how affordable this product is. A department store brand at this concentration level was over $100! It really is a quality product and The Ordinary comes so highly recommended. Just buy it!

Good
It is good to read how to use it. The first time I put it on my face turned red like an allergy (the bottle says not to mix it with other products that contain retinol and it also says that I can get over the red face but that this is until your face gets used to the product) I lasted three days with a red face and dryness as if it were peeling. After those three days I used it again and I love what I see and the rise of my skin, my face has not turned red again and my pores are controlled, I really love the results I am seeing.

Didnât dry me out like most retinol
I actually love the oily consistency of this product. Itâs the only retinol product of this strength that hasnât made my skin peel. Even though I am prone to clogged pores, the oily consistency hasnât caused any issues. It makes my skin feel super soft. I love it.

Effective Serum with a Learning Curve
Over time, I’ve noticed improvements in skin texture and a reduction in fine lines. âHowever, starting with this high concentration of retinol was challenging. Initially, I experienced dryness and irritation, which I later learned is common when beginning retinol treatments. It’s advisable to start with a lower concentration, such as 0.2% or 0.5%, to allow the skin to build tolerance before progressing to 1%

No more forehead wrinkles
This stuff nearly erased my fine lines. My forehead looks like Iâm completely wrinkle free. In my 30s just starting to see signs of aging. Be sure to use an exosome shot immediately before applying this. Donât use but every 2-3x a week or you will peel pretty deeply. My results were worth it. I removed dead skin with a rice exfoliation and it sloughed off everything, maybe a little too much. My skin is perfectly smooth like glass and literally my forehead is wrinkle free.

Everything was fine at first, but it caused discomfort after a few weeks
At first, the retinol worked great for my skin, I didnât experience any irritation and everything was going well. However, after several weeks of use, I started noticing some discomfort and redness, so I decided to pause it. Despite that, I really like the texture of the product and I know it has many benefits, so I plan to start using it again once my skin is more balanced. Iâm sure that, with more controlled use, Iâll be able to enjoy its effects without issues.
