EDIT: Kansas weather is strange. A couple days ago, it was in 80’s. This morning when I took my dog out, it said it was 26 but said it FELT 19. I had on sweats and this robe and I was fine. Now, there wasn’t any wind and this winter (it’s still OCT) I will likely also layer a hoodie under this robe (that’s why I suggest GETTING BIGGER than you need if you want to layer). BUT IT PASSED THE TEST and THE HOOD IS GREAT at helping keep head and neck warm!__________________________________________________Last year, I got a hooded robe. it was too lightweight for Kansas winters even with sweats and a hoodie UNDER it. I also have a HEAVIER robe I’ve had for years, but no hood.THICKNESS – This is RIGHT in the middle re weight. Neither super lightweight or super heavy. Now if you’re not LAYERING under it and going out on a cold winter’s night, will NOT be warm enough.LENGTH – I’m only 5’3″ and 150, but even the lrg/xlrg comes about three inches above my ankles. If you’re really thin, obviously will be a little longer, but I like I don’t have to worry about tripping over it.SIZE – I got the LRG/XTRA LARGE just because I wear with a turtleneck, sweats AND a hoodie. Like I said, Kansas winters at night are COLD! WITHOUT many layers, I can literally wrap it one and a half times around me. SO pls keep that in mind when buying. If you like XTRA large and/or are going to layer, I would go UP a size.QUALITY – I waited to write this until AFTER I washed this (on gentle and dried on gentle). Came out just great and it dried quickly. checked seams. ALL good. Again, not very heavy fabric, you can see SOME light through, but not as lightweight as others and with LAYERS, this is perfect.SHEDDING – after washing and drying, checked dryer filter and hardly ANY lint in it. SO FAR, not seeing any shedding, huge plus.PRICE – I got on sale for about thirty dollars. WELL WORTH it. Would I have paid much more? Probably not. It’s a nice robe, but I wouldn’t have paid more than forty for it.CONS:NONE so far for me, but it will depend on what YOU’RE looking for. For throwing on over sweats in winters, I love this. Cheaper and easier to toss on than a coat. And for Fall and Spring, PERFECT when you just have lightweight clothes on and it’s a little chilly.BOTTOMLINE: SO FAR, HAPPY ACROSS THE BOARD!

Happy with this dressing gown. Just like the pictures, thick and warm. I’m 6 foot tall and got the L-XL for the long sleeves and it runs a bit larger than expected, which is good. The sleeves are long enough. The hood is also massive.
