I just got it. I adore it. It’s lightweight, it works well on high setting for me. i have very thick fine hair and it adds lift and volume and it’s a lot of fun. doesn’t damage my hair and it smells good for some reason – added bonus. ð

Great for wigs
I bought this crimper to style my cosplay wigs, and it has done its job well. After the first use or so, there’s no noticeable smell. It serves its purpose well in adding volume and the slightest texture to my wigs, I’m sure if the temp were up higher, you could get much more distinct curls from it.

Keeps cutting out
It cuts out for meI was styling a furina wig and it kept cutting out for some reason,Iâve never had a crimper before so idk if thatâs whatâs itâs supposed to do but I kept hitting it but then it would cut on then off, but either way it made my furina wig very ig puffy and easy to style so yuh

You get what you pay for. Burning you hand is likely
TL;DR You get what you pay for. Itâs pretty meh, but if you arenât worried about the hot plastic issue, are only going to use it like 3 or 4 times a year and you donât have money burning holes in your pockets, this is probably an ok option for youââââââââ-It basically does what itâs supposed to but in the lowest quality possible. Iâd give it 2 stars if it wasnât for the cost-to-quality ratio.Biggest complaint, the plastic gets VERY hot! I use the lowest setting and it is way too hot to touch. It seems the manufacturer knows this because they included a single cloth glove. Hope it fits, because the bigger your hand, the more it will stretch and the thinner it be becomes.Iâve never bothered with the glove but I only have about 40% of my hair left (thinning) so it doesnât take any force to close the crimper all the way with just the handle. It definitely will still require 2 hands to get those deep crimps with normal hair, just like any other crimper.In the 80s I had a crimper, probably Conair, and this is miles below in quality. The plate is narrower, the crimps are shallower, and most of all, the plastic is HOT. Honestly, Iâd be afraid to turn it to even half power, itâs that hot..
