I’m glad that I didn’t wait for my next paycheck before buying it
I was about to wait for my next paycheck before investing in this Garmin, but I am so glad that I just went for it! I didn’t notice that I had bought the S version rather than the standard, but the size is fine because I have relatively thin bones. The watch is comfortable and integrates smoothly with my smartphone, and I can sleep with it without any discomfort.I have been using this watch for a little more than a week, and ever since using this watch, I have been diligently reaching my walking goals and easily monitoring my heart rate and recovery time. Paradoxically, I used to aim for 5 heavy weightlifting workouts per week, but because this watch monitors my physiology with reasonable accuracy, I have started listening to its recovery time and heavy training “only” three days per week, and the quality of my workouts and focus has been ,much much better. (I was concerned about not burning enough calories, so I make up for that in steps while my muscles recover.)I have never owned Apple or Samsung watches, so I cannot say that this is “better” or “worse,” but I am aware that it was designed more specifically for comfort and fitness, and I could not be happier with this investment

Great value, nice looking, good features.
bought this watch for my 14 year old son who wanted a smart watch with sports capabilities. We went to the garmin because my son has a very thin wrist and most of the others were too large or had the rectangle shape which did not look nice. This, while formally a womans watch is really unisex and is a good goto for a small wrist. The weight is also acceptable for a kid with a small thin build, so should be good for most anyone. The other advantage of this watch is the good battery life compared to similar watches. He does not really use the heart rate sensor, however we have checked it several times vs a manual count and it seems to be doing a good job. He enjoys the sound quality and is connected to blue tooth quite a bit (need to remember the watch capapilities when we make him put away his phone and screens and the watch can connect to them). The color is nice, and now with a few months on his wrist – despite having a white band – it has retained its color nicely. Value for money – definately when comparing to other similar watches. I don’t think there is a good reason to jump to the next generation watch. Sports tracking is also working well, although it has not been through very rugged training and have not tried all that many different sports.

Switched from Apple to Garmin!
I used to be an “All In” Apple fan until the last couple of years when they really started going downhill. My daughter had started doing research on Garmin and told me about all the wonderful selling points on it, and I just couldn’t believe it! I went with the Venu 3 in the men’s version instead of the women’s version because it gave me a bigger watch face. I wear reading glasses and want to be able to see it without having to put my glasses on for the smaller selections that I would need to see. Let me tell you what I found as a new Garmin convert!First of all I wasn’t sure if it was going to like the round face as opposed to the square face, but I actually love it more. It took a couple of days to get used to the different ways of doing things, but once I understood how it worked I find I really like it more. The bottom button is kind of like your “go to” button on the right side of your watch. This button is your “back” button that you hit to go back a screen and finally end up at your Home Screen. If you want to record an activity or access one of your apps then you would press the top button. If you want to do an activity, you press the one that you want on the screen, and then you would press the button on the top to start it. To pause the activity or restart it you would press the top button again. If you want to delete the activity for whatever reason then there is a trash can on the top of the screen that you tap, it will take you to the next screen and you can either confirm that you want to delete it with the top side button, or you can go back because that is not what you want to do with the bottom side button. If you want to change your watch face, record an alarm or stop watch, or go to settings then you would long press the bottom button. It will give you the choice of “Watch Face”, “Clocks”, or “Settings”. if you go into one and that is not what you want then you simply press the bottom button again to go back to the previous screen. Garmin gives you some really neat watch faces to choose from, or you even get the option of customizing one of your own.One thing I have to mention is how long the battery lasts! I was used to my battery draining by the end of the day, or way before if I was recording any activity. However, with my watch I can record activity or not and I can still have a ton of battery power left by the end of the day. When I don’t record anything I will normally have about 92% left from a full charge. I decided to do a test to see how long I could go before I really needed to recharge my watch. I didn’t Not record activity for this little test of mine because I wanted to get a fair assessment of how well it would work for me. By the 5th day I was at like 45% when I finally decided to that the Garmin was going to win in this stand off. I came to the conclusion that if I went on a week’s vacation that I wouldn’t need to bring my charger with me.I went with the Venu 3 because I wanted the ability to answer calls and read emails, while also being able to record activities. I still need to figure out how to turn up the volume on my watch when I am talking on it so I can better hear when someone is talking to me. Other than the volume thing, it is pretty straightforward on how to answer it.I included a picture of how the watch looks on my wrist as a woman with a small to medium frame. I love it and highly recommend it.I really love this watch and I am super glad that I went with the Venu 3!

Buh-bye, Fitbit
I’ve used Fitbits for nearly a decade. I wasn’t happy with recent changes in the app and wanted better health tracking. Also appears that Google is paring down the Fitbit line. I also did NOT want the bulk and weight of a smart watch (tried it, hated it). The Venu 3S is the only Garmin that fit my small wrist, and I wouldn’t mind if it were a bit smaller. However, the GPS on this watch rocks. If I want to use the watch for texting or phone calls, I can – but I disabled those features. Sleep tracking is more accurate than any Fitbit has been for me. Activity tracking is great. Fall detection is a nice safety feater. There’s more to this watch than on a Fitbit, so there’s a learning curve – but it’s not difficult to use. Venu 3S charges fast and holds a charge for days. I’m sold on Garmin. The features and durability are worth every penny.

Beautiful watch bought as a gift for my wife. She loves it.There are simpler smart watches out there, which would be more than sufficient for most I think, but I am a huge fan of Garmin’s quality and wanted my wife to join me in the Garmin user experience.

This is a great watch! It is much improved on my previous garmin. It’s smoother, easier to navigate and the battery life is amazing.I bought this one for my wife, this is the smaller version and she loves it.Back in 2018 she got an iwatch and I got the Garmin Vivoactive 3. They were life changing at the time, as we were very active in the gym and outside. It was clear that my wife preferred many of the functions on my watch that the iwatch didn’t have, although hers did look much better. My Garmin had battery issues back in 2021 and the iwatch screen got a crack in it last year (2024).So, a few years on, we are less active and want to get back to it. But I lacked the motivation. Then I remembered how I used to monitor my sleep, heart rate and training sessions on the watch and thought…maybe a new smart watch will give me the get up off the sofa I need.So I researched the best smart watches of 2024 & 2025…and this one kept coming up.So I bought two (2) this one for my wife and the larger one for me.They are brilliant, the Garmin App is much improved too, much easier to record my gym sessions. This watch can monitor your HRV, it can provide a sleep coach, it’s is sleek and stylish, and is better at dealing with messages and calls.I highly recomment this watch!

Fantastic watch, had to unfortunately get a replacement as my original one had some power issues with not turning back on but got a quick replacement. Battery for my usage is well over 7 days, auto tracks activities better than any other smart watches I’ve had such as Fitbit and Samsung. Sleep tracker can be a little bit off, not tracking once you wake up and fall asleep during the night but rare it happens. Companion app for it has a wealth of information that’s valuable.
