Well build and sturdy!
This has been an excellent addition to our storage in the garage. Made specifically for skis, but I was also able to use it for the kids snowboards by placing the bottoms of two snowboards together. I used a bungee to keep one end together while placing the other end of the boards in the holder.With the money and sturdy and strong!

I was looking for a compact rack to hang my family’s skis on and this fit the bill. There are a few things I think you need to know. This says it comes with everything you need to assemble – including the screws and anchors. What it doesn’t say, is that the screws and anchors that come in the box are ONLY for brick use. That seems like an odd choice. The diameter of the screws is too hefty for use on your wood frame garage so if you’re like me, you’re going to have to supply your own mounting hardware.Installation was easy, once I figured out I put it in wrong side out. The way the holes align, you can put this on standard 16″ on center studs, and share a stud with the butt ends of the brackets – just need to angle your screws a bit to make sure you hit. The bracket installs with the hump out (screw flange will be flush to the wall). I initially put it the other direction and the brackets slid around and I thought it was the worst design ever before having my “aha” moment and flipped them around. Your hangers should sort of snap down and won’t easily slide side to side. If they do, you have it backwards. Also, there is a distinct top and bottom edge so just be careful that you’re paying attention to orientation.My only issue (aside from initially putting it on the wall wrong side out), is that you have to make sure your binding stops are really locked in together before you hang these. The pressure on the tips will make them pop apart if they aren’t! Not a huge issue – just something to watch for.

Not for attaching to studs
The holes are too close together! To mount to studs the holes should be 16 inches apart, but the farthest holes are 15.25” apart. These cannot be used to mount into studs. Also, it is two pieces and they don’t fit over each other, so even if they were the proper length, you couldn’t put the ends of two of them into the same stud.You could use them if you mount them to a piece of lumber and attach that lumber to the studs, but that means you’re also buying a 2×6 piece of lumber for this and it will be 1.5 inches out from your wall.

Quality craftsmanship, lacking functionality
This was easy to install. The brackets for hanging the skis are not close enough so the skis tend to slide down and donât fit well. Additionally, kids skis do not fit at all. Solid product but the functionality is lacking.
