Fresh, Easy, and Reliable—Love This Coffee Maker!
I’ve been using this coffee maker daily, and it’s been excellent in every way. First, durability—it’s solidly built and feels like it will last for years. The grinder still works like new after several weeks of use.The coffee temperature is just right—not lukewarm or scalding, but hot enough to enjoy without needing to reheat. It keeps the pot warm too, which is great for slow sippers like me.As for coffee grounds, it does an amazing job grinding whole beans fresh for each brew, but it also works well with pre-ground coffee if needed. The built-in grinder is super convenient and doesn’t make a mess.Brewing ability is top-notch—this thing consistently brews a smooth, flavorful pot of coffee every time. The timer is perfect for setting it up the night before, and it even tells you how long it’s been since the coffee finished brewing. The capacity is perfect—12 cups is more than enough for family mornings or when guests come over. And the water capacity is easy to fill with the top-loading reservoir—no awkward tipping or spills.Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable, all-in-one coffee maker that makes your mornings smoother!

    AMAZING
Best purchase I ever made. I had been using a cheap 2 cup coffee maker and then my stand alone grinder. Until my grinder gave out and died. Saw this and just thought this would be perfect for me. It arrived and after setup-cleaning and my first brew. I have to say I’m hooked! I LOVE IT! It’s perfect and I could not be any happier. AMAZING product, Amazing taste or fresh gride/brew coffee.

Great coffee maker but no replacement carafe available **Update – Found a workable carafe**
**** Update 5/3/2025 ****For those of you looking for a replacement carafe I found one! With the nub on top of the carafe (that pushes in the coffee dispenser, this one is a little tall for the B&D, but it works. It’s just a snug fit. The top of the carafe doesn’t line up with where the coffee comes out on the B&D but it’s tall enough that it still pushes in the coffee dispenser and the coffee goes into the carafe and doesn’t spill. So pleased I’m able to use this again. This is a no-name brand but have it used for about a week and it’s working fine. https://www.amazon.com/12-Cup-Replacement-Coffee-Compatible-coffeemakers/dp/B0DZXD8ZBN/ref=cm_cr_srp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8——We've owned several coffee makers over the years but for the last 20+ have always used a ‘grind and brew’ approach. Our first grind-enabled coffee machine was a Melitta, nearly identical in design to this one. After several plastic pieces broke (as a result of a drop) I could no longer find this style (blade grinder built into the filter basket). Ultimately we decided to upgrade to a burr-grinder design (Cuisinart). At the time those were very expensive. We’ve pretty much used that model ever since. However, after having a few of those fail on us, I went searching and was pleased to find the Black and Decker was now making a nearly identical product to our first Melitta.I find this design much simpler to use and clean than the burr grinder models that have the bean storage on top. After making coffee you simply remove the filter/case, dump the used grounds in your compost (or trash), and rinse everything out. Very easy and don’t mind the reviews that talk about ‘sludge’. If you have your grind setting set for a long period of time (based on the number of cups you want to make) you may get some ‘very fine’ grounds at the bottom, but you can adjust the grind time by selecting smaller numbers of cups. I recommend playing with this until you find your perfect cup. I generally put in fewer tablespoons of beans, and then set the grind for even fewer than that. As an example, for 10 cups of coffee I put in 8 scoops, set the grind to 6 and the coffee is delicious. We use roasted (ie oily) beans so the coffee tends to be stronger. As for the coffee temperature, I tested it coming from the filter basket into the coffee pot and it is around 179. That is not ideal but about the same as most coffee makers out there. I wasn’t able to test the water temp coming into the filter basket but it’s probably lower than the recommended 195+. I looked for inexpensive coffee pots that achieve the ‘ideal’ brew temperature range but was unable to find any.In a nutshell, this is an easy to use, easy to clean, easy to program grind and brew coffee maker. It’s a pretty good value if not a little wider than necessary. I like the access to the water chamber, the pour from the carafe, and the aesthetic is ok.HOWEVER, the reason for the 1 star drop from a 5 star rating is I accidentally broke the carafe while cleaning it. In doing searches there appears to be no replacement carafe available. There are carafes for many other B&D models, just not this one. The replacement on their website is out of stock with no foreseeable availability date. I’ll continue to try to find one or use some other model that can hopefully fit, but in the meantime we’ll be buying a different brand grind and brew coffee maker because who doesn’t need their morning coffee?

Best Coffee Ever!!! Get This One.
The Black and Decker is easy to clean and operate. The coffee is absolutely fabulous. Best grinder coffee maker ever, and I highly recommend it.

money saving, space saving coffee maker
Love it! It has a reusable filter basket so no more paper filters to buy. And it uses ground or whole bean coffee, and the built-in grinder is very convenient. And the coffee tastes great!

  6. Doug Friesen

Great quality. Make great coffee. It only drips if I overfill the pot. As long as I keep it 3/4 inch from the top, it doesn’t drip at all. And that’s saying something! All other brands I’ve tried ( Mr Coffee, Braun, Hamilton Beach, etc ) drip and dribble like mofos.

  7. Coni

Excelente cafetera.Es practica e intuitiva para usarse. No necesita filtro de papel y es muy facil de limpiar.El molino es bueno, aunque no se puede ajustar la calidad del molido.Muy recomendable

  8. GT

This is coffeemaker the best. Very good quality and I highly recommend this is product. I bought it in Aug 2020, and up today Jan 2025 it’s work smooth and without any single problem. Bravo!!! Black and Decker.

Loved it as much as I love my expresso it successfully replaced my all in one espresso -latte -cappuccino maker as I am only intersted in my black coffee had to use a step down voltage for American / Canadian use in India …that cost me as much as the machine cost but the output is a perfect cup of joe each time , moreover I knew it before I bought it so no hard feelings for that😉 …grinds beans to a perfection and is quite user friendly even though with a professional touch !!
