Works Great But Not A Lavender Scent
I love a good, long salted bath. Does so much to relax me and to soothe my muscles. It’s also great for detoxing the body and leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. This bag of bath salts will do all of those things. Easy to use and is so beneficial. The only thing that I’m not all that impressed with is the scent. First off, to my nose, this is not a lavender scent. Yes, it does contain lavender oil, but not enough for it to be the predominant scent. There’s all sorts of other essential oils in here that are good for the body and skin and they too swirl around your nose to give it it’s own scent. They all work together and create a whole scent of its own that really isn’t one more than the other. Certainly not a lavender based sort of scent. Because it’s such a mix in my nose, I really can’t even figure out exactly what it is that I’m smelling. It just smells to me slightly musky and has more of a manly scent. All of the properties are listed on the product page and they are all things that are quite good for the body. It is good for both men and women though.Ultimately, this is a good body bath salt soak, but just don’t expect it to smell like lavender or all lady like and dainty. It’s not bad at all. Just not what you would expect by how they have the package labeled.

Nice Bath Soak – Made in USA
I’ve used a lot of Dead Sea Salt or epsom salt bath soaks before and decided to try this salt blend from Aromasong since it has added essential oils and is a product of the USA.This has dead sea salt in it, which is naturally high in magnesium. It also has magnesium flakes. Magnesium is well known for aiding in muscle recovery, relaxation, and improving sleep. The magnesium plus the lavender make this a good soak in general to unwind. The product suggests using 1-2 cups in the bath and soaking for at least 20 minutes. I used maybe a cup and a half. It less than what I’d usually thow in the water if using straight sea salts, though with the essential oils, I didn’t to go over the suggestion. Using 1.5 cups in a full tub was VERY strong smelling – primarily lavender and citrus come though. It wasn’t overwhelming, but I think I’d cut this with some regular salt to bring the smell down a bit next time. It’s personal preference as far the scent level goes. The salt dissolves very quickly and I didn’t notice any undissolved grit left behind. I also didn’t find this to leave any oil or scum residue in the tub after draining it.I was concerned about the citrus oils in this – it has both orange and grapefruit oils in it. I’ve eaten oranges in the bathtub before and even dropping one tiny peel in the water by accident burns when it touches your skin. I didn’t notice anything unpleasant with the 1.5 cups – the ppm must be very low. If you used a higher concentration of the bath soak, it likely has the potential to be a little irritating for your skin.Overall, this was a nice soak. I liked the additions of the essential oils. It makes a for a relaxing bath with the magnesium soak and skin benefits and aromatherapy from the oils.Nice product. I’d order it again.

    No fragrance.
Was hoping for a nice lavender smell. Does not have any smell at all. But the soak is nice

Smells great; helps relieve pain. Easy to use and in a convenient and resealable pouch
A three pound pouch of lavender-scented dead sea salts. The convenient pouch is resealable to keep moisture out and the lavender scent in the pouch. It’s easy to open and pour out as much as needed or use a measuring cup.A nice, fresh and strong lavender scent makes for a wonderful soaking tub experience. Warm water and sea salts are known to help relieve pain, and this formula helped reduce knee and hip joint pain for me.Both the bath and the bathroom smelled great after use, but the scent doesn’t linger on skin — especially if showering or rinsing off after a soak.Made in the USA from domestic and imported ingredients.A reasonably good price when offered at about $20 at the time of our review. That’s less than $.50 per ounce. One bag should provide enough salts for four to eight uses.

Much better than the epsom salt I’ve been using from a well known retailer
I buy epsom salt with lavender scent from CVS. I add it to my baths post-run on the weekends — I take a bath when it’s cold out. This stuff is way better. The salt has really nice texture, like kosher salt. It’s not fine or powdery or even grainy. It has this nice large flaky texture. Secondly, you can feel the salt in the water, and it acts like an exfoliant. It takes a bit of time to dissolve, and I like that. The smell is incredible too. Lots of lavender. The water has a nice silky texture to it as well. I just love this.I would say the price is a bit on the high side. But, I would definitely buy this. It’s a big bag, and I feel like you need less of this stuff compared to other epsom salts to get the same effect.
