CHECKLIST FOR LIVING SPACES SUCCESS
Flooring
Looking to change things up? Tile may look grand, but I love the warmth of wood floors. Look into engineered wood or vinyl wood flooring that looks like real wood but can be water and scratch-resistant. If you have wood or tile floors, a rug is a great way to bring warmth and coziness into a space.
Curtains
Curtains are another great way to add warmth and texture or soften the look of a room. I like to hang them high, just below the ceiling, and have them just touch the floor. It makes a room feel grander and gives the illusion of higher ceilings.
Coffee Tables
Take the time and invest in a beautiful table that will complement your space. I have a mirrored coffee table, which adds a glam focal point to the room.
Sofas
No matter your style, my rule of thumb is to pick a neutral color, such as white, tan, or gray. Sofas are a big investment, and if you go with a neutral color, you’ll be able to switch the surrounding color scheme without having to buy brand-new furniture each time.
ACCENT YOUR SPACE
Fresh and faux flowers add a punch of color and bring a bit of the outdoors inside.

Since I was a young girl I was told that the Home Decorator world was not ready for anyone of my ethnicity and gender, a women’s I should pursue a” real job”. It has haunted me all my life, since Decorating is my passion and truly 40 yrs ago the market was not open to nurturing my natural gift. Will help you beautify your home
I got so many great tips and ideas from reading this book. Mostly, her style is glam. She uses a lot of plush textures and mirrors and crystal type looks to achieve a shining and elegant look. I definitely want to incorporate elements of her style into my currently transitional decor. She had lots of good ideas for lighting fixtures and wall decor that I’ve never seen. She has a photo of her son’s Star Wars room that my son fell in love with. That inspiration piece alone was worth the money. She’s humble and it came through in her writing, a very enjoyable read. I loved the tip at the end on how to clean your rooms so that now I don’t dread it so much!

I wouldnât pay over $20 for this book. Itâs nice but some of the pictures are really blurry & repeat. I expected more different looks. Overall itâs a nice short read but thereâs only a few sentences about shelf styling. Thatâs what Iâm really interested in knowing how to do.

Guess whatâs on my coffee table! Itâs @farahjmerhi book from @inspire_me_home_decor … Itâs my morning read with coffee! I received this back in October! Itâs a must have and you guys should check it out, plus she is a total sweetheart! Her life and accomplishments are an inspiration! I Love everything and thereâs so much details! I have not gotten through the entire book yet as Iâve been a busy-bee lately juggling multiple projects and a business with my Husband, but my Husband (whom is not into these things) picked up the book one day and says to me, âvery impressive, this book is legit, no wonder your inspired by her, sheâs a boss lady like youâ! ðð
