Hamilton Beach Programmable Drip Coffee Maker, 12 Cups, Front Access Easy Fill, Pause & Serve, 3 Brewing Options, Black (46310)
$99.00 $54.99
The Hamilton Beach programmable easy access coffee maker puts an end to maneuvering of a countertop coffee maker. You can fill the water tank from the front, instead of the back. This coffee maker takes up less space but still makes up to 12 cups.
EASILY FILL FROM THE FRONT. The FrontFill water reservoir and swing-open brew basket provide easy access under cabinets, so it’s simpler to add water and coffee grounds. The swing-out brew basket opens from the front and is designed for easy cleaning.
PROGRAMMABLE WITH CLEANING CYCLE REMINDERS: It’s simple to program the drip coffee maker machine and clock. Set up to 24 hours ahead for hot, wake-up ready coffee. When “CLEAN” displays on the coffee maker, it’s time to run the self-cleaning cycle.
GET YOUR FIRST CUP FAST: With Auto Pause & Pour on this programmable coffee maker, you can pour yourself a cup while coffee is still brewing.
COFFEE YOUR WAY: Use the Select-a-Brew brew-strength selector on the programmable coffee maker to set your coffee’s brew strength to match your preference or mood. Choose regular, bold or 1-4 cup options.
EASY-VIEW WATER WINDOW: The window with clear measurement marks lets you see the water level as you fill the coffee machine.

Excellent Choice
Iâm really happy with this one. Itâs exactly as advertised. I know from experience that the people who had problems with it leaking or making a loud noise either didnât have the filter basket in place or didnât have it in place correctly. The filling process, time, temperature, shutoff, etc. are all exactly as expected. I wasnât sure if the 2 hour shutoff would work well since we were used to a 4 hour shutoff but itâs been a good fit. Weâve only had this about a month but if I had it to do it over I would choose this one again.

Excellent Coffee Maker!
Well made coffee maker at a decent price. Programing it is easy and has a 2 hour shut off I enjoy. The front loading features are nice and don’t cause a mess like some of the top loaders do and it’s easy to clean. I also added the permanent filter that was recommended when ordering. I’ve been using them for years instead of paper filters. Shipping was fast with Prime and I got it next day!

An Easy-to-Use Coffee Maker
I was initially concerned about the shape of the carafe lid because my old coffee maker had a valley style lid and this one has a dome. I was especially concerned because one of the review videos shows some difficulty in removing and replacing the pot under the basket because of this dome shape. Not to worry. You can remove and replace the carafe easily. No leaks and no problems.I brew my coffee “bold” and as best as I can measure the temperature right at the point where it leaves the bottom of the basket and drips into the carafe, it’s 171-172 degrees. The plate actually warms it up and keeps it at around 185 degrees, which may be too hot for some, but it works for me.Because I keep my coffee maker under the cabinets, I especially like being able to pour the water into the front rather than into the back. That’s a unique and handy feature. Overall, I really like this coffee maker.

Keeps working
We like different coffee. I bought myself this one in 2020 and him a cheaper one because he told me to. Well, he just got one of these after throwing out a couple of the cheaper ones. I don’t use the fancy features – other than auto off. This one isn’t finicky – it doesn’t deposit black tar on the counter, or around the pot because I wasn’t careful enough in lining things up. The autostop may drip a drip or two when pouring while it is still brewing, but it doesn’t get stuck and just keep pumping coffee all over the kitchen. Frankly, it is just a boring coffee pot that keeps on doing what you want it to do – day after day after day. It does keep the coffee nice and hot. And two hours later, the coffee doesn’t taste burnt. We do use both a paper filter and a permanent basket style filter in all our coffee pots. I highly recommend doing so – you can find them on Amazon.

Good quality machine.
Easy instructions on cleaning. Easy to clean. I recommend using the filters and the filter tool. It makes a difference. The cleaning process is not only effective it is simple and will keep your coffee at peak taste. Brews are strong and quick.Bang for buck is really good. Quiet brewing.ConsWater Filters and filter tool are sold separately. Hamilton Beach should include them with this machine as well as the coffee ground basket. The pamphlet lists them as optional. They should be standard.

short lifespan, bottom-of-the-line features, and -extremely- prone to spilling while brewing
I used this machine daily for 17 months. Then, quite suddenly, it died: it wouldn’t pump water or heat coffee. 17 months is a very short lifespan for a coffee machine. (Another of my Hamilton Beach machines also lasted a little less than 18 months. Perhaps the entire brand suffers from durability issues.)This machine’s coffee is as good as the coffee I’ve had from $50 Hamilton Beach machines. But I regret buying this machine, and indeed, I am never going to buy another Hamilton Beach product. In so many ways, this machine’s features are limited or poorly implemented:1) Extremely prone to spilling coffee all over your countertop. This is not a problem with the carafe; instead, it’s a problem with the spring-loaded nozzle that transmits coffee from the machine to the carafe. About once every three months, this Hamilton Beach machine (and others that I’ve had) floods my countertop. Many other reviewers have detailed this problem: see “Hamilton Beach strikes out again” (which has the best detail), “flow cutoff sucks, leaks”, “Coffee Goes All Over the Counter”, and more. See also the picture at the bottom of this review.A recommended solution is to use a little less ground coffee than you normally would, and then to use the machine’s “bold” setting. But this hasn’t stopped my machine from flooding on occasion. This alone is a fatal or near-fatal flaw. But there is more…2) Water reservoir: not removable (and thus difficult to wash). Also, the water gauge, which lets you see how much water is in the reservoir, appears on only one side of the reservoir — rather than both sides, as with many other machines. Depending on how you position this machine on your countertop, you may need to bend at an odd angle to see the gauge.3) Carafe: before making coffee, you push it into the machine so that it sits atop the holder, just as with most other coffee machines. But if you push it in as far as it can go, you have gone too far; the carafe won’t be well positioned, and your coffee will spill outside the carafe. (But the carafe itself is better than the carafes from Hamilton Beach machines of a few years ago, because it’s less likely to spill when pouring.)4) LED indicator lights: they’re white, which makes it a little more difficult to see whether they’re on during the daytime. Any other color would have been better.5) Power cord: not retractable, as it is on other low-cost coffee machines. As a result, the power cord will spill out over your countertop at least a little.6) Buttons: they are very shallow and stiff; they require too much force to press. Again, it’s not a huge problem. But to press the power button or any other button when the carafe is less than half-full, you need to firmly hold the machine itself with one hand, while pressing the button with a finger of your other hand. If you just attempt to press a button without holding the machine in place or otherwise anchoring it, you’ll simply tip the machine over onto its side.7) Battery backup: there is none. If you lose power for a second, or unplug your machine just for a moment, you will need to reset the current time, the time at which you want coffee-making to start (if you use that feature), and any special settings that you have. This isn’t easy, as Hamilton Beach doesn’t make it simple for you to set the time or, especially, the time at which you want coffee-making to start. The lack of a backup battery for these features seems like great cheapness on the part of Hamilton Beach, given that ordinary consumers can buy 3V lithium batteries for less than $1.8) Coffee-filter holder: it has no handle, and to use it, you must slide it into the machine just so. All of this makes it a little difficult to manipulate.9) As mentioned at the top of this review, the machine died in less than 18 months. This machine is worse than you would hope, even given the low price. And the flooding problem, while it happens to me only once every three months or so, is terrible when it does happen. Avoid Hamilton Beach.

I had a Hamilton Beach Flexbrew that made great coffee for 10 yrs so when it died I ordered this one and itâs exactly everything I wanted. Easy to load with coffee and fill with water. Makes great tasting coffee and itâs hot! Since it uses the same pot as the Flexbrew, Iâm keeping my old pot just in case I ever need to brew two pots. It looks nice on the kitchen counter and is a very good value. Itâs just perfect.
