A good kit for the price.
Tamper tamps, it’s heavy and well finished. Distribution tool is basic but far better than nothing, I noticed the difference on the first shot I used the tool. For sure there are better options, but it just works.Funnel is ok, has some magnets for extra security. Puck screen works ok, even if water distribution is still on debate, it keeps your group head shower of getting dirty with coffee.

Really well put together stamper. The magnetic “guide” or “funnel” is nice quality too. The spiky-stirring tool could have been a better quality but overall, a pretty good buy.

Wow. What a difference! I was using the plastic scoop and tamper combination that came with my espresso machine. Using the Symtype 51 mm set Рsuch a dream to use and functioned as intend. I was spilling grounds all over the place but with the dosing funnel, no mess, no fuss, and easy to use. The WDT tool was easy to use but I did not notice the difference. It does distribute the grounds and made the puck more dense. Before, I would just scoop the grounds and start tamping with the plastic handle that came with the machine. The filter screen Рa god send. The puck stayed together and felt like the distribution of the water was much more even using the screen. The filter screen was more dense than I expected. And the pi̬ce de r̩sistance, the tamper, has great weight and fit snug into the portafilter. Before using this set, the coffee grounds would come out of the portafilter in a pile of mess. Now, after using the Symtype 51 mm set, it comes out as a pretty solid puck. The coffee tastes great and I feel more is extracted from the grounds that before. It was easy to use and comfortable in my hands. I have use a wooden station to house the instruments and now my espresso making mornings are much more efficient and great tasting one cup of espresso at a time. Measure twice and order once. I had to measure my portafilter dimensions and measured wrong. I initially bought a 53 mm set Рwhich obviously did not work. Now that I have the proper size, mornings are a bit more bearable. Price was also very reasonable. The base is not for this company but it works just fine.
