I bought this espresso maker with high expectations, but unfortunately, it did not meet my needs due to several quality and design issues.Cons:1. The lid: Part of the lid is transparent, which seems practical at first glance, but itâs made of plastic and has a very poor design. The small fins that hold it in place are extremely thin, so they cannot keep the lid secure. Additionally, since itâs made of plastic, I assume it deforms with heat, which worsens the issue. Every time I touch it slightly, the lid falls off, making it completely impractical.2. The coffee basket: This part is too thin and feels fragile. The material quality is poor, raising concerns about its durability.Pros:⢠The handle: Itâs sturdy, made of plastic, and well-designed for a good grip. This is the only feature that meets an acceptable standard.In conclusion, although the base and handle are functional, the serious issues with the lid and coffee basket make this espresso maker impractical and unreliable. I cannot recommend this product due to its poor quality in key areas.

Great Espresso without filters or pods or pressing!
Was looking for a waste-free option for great tasting espresso! Back to the basics, stovetop moka pot works great. This economic unit makes smooth, low-acidic coffee; better than the pod options that I’ve been using. We have an Aeropress at work that I tried a few times; that makes smooth coffee too, but it takes a lot of energy to press the water thru the filter.This unit works great and results are hot steamy espresso! I have a milk frother/heater that warms the milk with perfect texture and results are a $6-8 coffee drink at home!I’ve tried with 8 oz. of water with full coffee filter to partial 4 oz to 6 oz and scaled back coffee grounds, all with great results. Glad to have this size with the option to scale down as needed. The clear (plastic) window is helpful to view the brew status.Good results using medium heat electric coil stove-top burner, which takes about 8 minutes to complete; the attached video was initial brew, which took longer at lower heat, but still good results with medium heat at faster pace (now can complete brew in abiut 6 minutes). Both cold and hot water give similar tasty results. Monitor the entire process, let all the gurgling finish before removing from the heat for best results (don’t boil the reservoir totally dry so it won’t discolor the unit).After at least 10 brews there is slight discoloring occurring inside the base water reservoir but no rusting occurring; the outside of entire unit still has glossy finish. The top carafe is holding up well with the glossy finish inside. For best results, hand rinse with just water rather than use soap or dishwasher for best results, or it can damage the finish. Be sure to pull the gasket and filter from bottom of top carafe to rinse completely. Also, rinse the mid-section coffee filter thoroughly through bottom tube and the top basket to remove fine grounds. Let all parts completely airdry prior to storing to avoid mildew or bacteria growth.Enjoy the results of great, consistent coffee without the need to maintain a machine or deal with environmentally wasteful pods. A little patience goes a long way! Cheers!

Nice, but couple issues
I love the sleekness of the pot and that it comes with a sturdy, helpful spoon. However, after a couple months, it gets screechy when you close, the inside part for the coffee gets stuck to the bottom half and the plastic window on top shrunk so now it falls off.

Initial impression was impressive, but falls short where it matters.
Right out of the box, the Café Du Chateau Espresso Maker looked solid. For something that costs $20, itâs elegantly designed, the quality is excellent, and the build is impressive. But hereâs where things start to go wrong: the coffee grounds keep floating up, and the filter just isnât doing its job. Honestly, this should be an easy fix from an engineering perspective. I found some peanut-sized grinds in my cup, so I recommend using an extra filter, or let the grounds settle, pour out 2/3 of the coffee, and toss the rest.If youâre after a caffeine kick, youâll probably still want this. I suggest getting an espresso press to compact the groundsâitâll help. But be careful when handling the maker; it gets hot quick. My tip? Rinse it with water to cool the metal down before touching it.Another heads up: clean the tubing regularly. Itâs easy for it to get dirty over time, and trust me, you donât want to be drinking that. I found it a bit difficult to clean, a massive turn-off if thatâs important to you.Overall, this is a cheap way to get something espresso-like. If regular drip coffee just doesnât hit hard enough, I understand why youâd go for this.

If I can get 2 cups out of one brewing, I’ll be amazed.This also looks like a major hassle for a cup of coffee.I’ll update after using. I might end up ordering a real coffee maker.Update:My mistake. These cups are demi-tasse. IOW two swallows and it’s gone.I complained about the clarity of the ad saying it was misleading.But anyone who specifically drinks espresso, would know about demi-tasse.It’s supposed to be sipped.I drink coffee I don’t sip unless it’s too hot.I prefer a full cup of coffee and a second should I choose it.I bought a REAL 5 cup maker the other day I was so disappointed in this.One other thing, the “glass” window fell out and will not stay in place while hand-washing with the slightest bit of downward pressure. I don’t mean press down. Just applying enough to clean.Lifting up is OK, but be careful, if you have the same experience I had whilst peering in to see progress when brewing. The window becomes covered with condensation as is natural and to be expected making it difficult to see.

Received the coffee maker on time, it has a plastic see through cap. which after the second use, the plastic cap came off, and because of the heat the plastic got loose and changed shape, was not able to put it back again, had to discard the coffee maker in the trash.it worked fine for two uses, if you buy the product, Do Not buy it with the plastic cover!!!!

This is a great product producing first class coffee. Even better is the customer service provided by the supplier. I had a problem with the unit delivered and contacted the supplier to let them know. The service provided was exceptional and within a couple of days a replacement pot had been delivered. I would highly recommend not only the espresso maker but the positive customer support.
