Works great and seems very safe and secure! My 1 year old that does not sit still was very comfortable. It gave my husband good relief on his back (which is not in the best of shape) while carrying our almost 25 pound girl. It is relatively light for the security it provides. Only complaint is you do feel it in your shoulders.

I’m not a hiker, but great for travel
This has been a great backpack for carrying around a toddler. I greatly prefer it to a stroller at the airport as it’s easier for us to get around and the kid gets a great view of the crowds and airport from a higher vantage point. It’s also been great for getting around museums and cities where it might be crowded and ramps aren’t as available. As long as your back and legs can handle it, I think it’s a great way to tote a kid.The storage modules are also great and handy. I often use the smaller removable backpack as a quick diaper bag that we can take into a restaurant or something. It’s also just small enough to fit through TSA scanners.One of the greatest benefits is for using the bathroom. Being able to fold out the legs and have a kid strapped in while you can wash your hands is a huge benefit.

Very good product. Came as described and we used it a lot in our travel!! My 3 year old felt very comfortable in it and the weight was very well distributed on my back while carrying her for many hiking hours
