Great smart plug to go with echo!
So Iâm kind of new to the amazon device family. We just got our echo a few months ago. Iâve been a prime member for over 10 years so Iâm familiar with how amazon has changed life as we knew it (for me anyway). I saw the amazon smart plug when I was searching for any brand smart plug that had Alexa control with it. Itâs been in my cart saved for later for at least a month! I finally decided to just pre order it so that I could review it and hopefully help other people that are like me and have fallen way behind in the tech field. For reference Iâm an almost 34 year old mom of 2. This means that my 8 year old stole my iPad, iMac, and I havenât had a computer of my own in about 4 years! So I do everything from my iPhone. Iâve had some weird issues with our echo and my Alexa app that it will just randomly pause a song so Iâm not sure what that is about.ANYWAY! I received my new amazon smart plug the day it was released (so glad itâs not like a new iPhone or PlayStation where people camp out ahead of time or do people still do this??). It was easier than I expected but harder than was described in the listing because my Alexa didnât just recognize it.Setup:Since my Alexa didnât recognize it on its own, I had to unplug the smart plug and quickly scan the code on the back of the plug, then plug it back in fast so that when it scanned for it it would see it plugged in. After that it was very simple. I was able to plug in my baby monitor and then tell Alexa to âturn off plug oneâ and it turned off! It is so cool!Future:I think homes will end up being built with these right into the electrical system. Maybe they already are.Comparing:With so many different brands offering smart plugs with Alexa integration I canât see myself buying any more than 1 for $25. Too many are 2 for $20. While itâs nice to have the amazon support backing this up, I just canât afford to fill my home with them at such a high cost comparative to other brands that do the same exact thing.Overall:If you can afford to fill your plugs with these then do! This smart plug is easy and awesome! But if youâre on a tight budget like I am, I would try a different brand first and see if those will work just as well.Every time I purchase something online, I always check the reviews. I count on others to help me choose the best option. Amazing product!
I was skeptical about this syncing with the app and my wifi. It was way easier then I expected. Then I was not expecting it to work when I was 50 miles away from my home with the Alexa app. Guess what it worked! I turned it on on the Alexa app and then I looked at my living room though my Ring camera and it was on! This is the most amazing product and I urge everyone to buy multiple Smart Plugs for you’re home! Thanks Team!!

5 Stars â I Now Control My House Like a Lazy Wizard
This little smart plug has turned me into the all-powerful ruler of my living room. Want the lamp on? Alexa, do the thing. Coffee maker ready before I even roll out of bed? Boom. I havenât touched a light switch in weeks and Iâm not going back. Setup took about two minutes, and suddenly Iâm living in the future where yelling at appliances actually works. Itâs like magic⦠but powered by Wi-Fi and caffeine. Highly recommend if you enjoy convenience, power trips, and feeling like a tech-savvy sorcerer.

We have 4 of these in a few areas around the house, they are extremely helpful when it comes to the winter months and being able to see when we get home. We have an older home that is very separated and closed off, not an open concept whatsoever, and these help by turning on lights at certain times. Have them set to go random when we’re not home for a day or 2. Perfect for those who want some smart home features but cannot modify the home.

The concept of the actual device is stellar. My only complaint is how bulky the device is once you plug in your other device. For instance- I used this for my bedroom lamp and it was too bulky for the space. It is a good 3inches from the wall once plugged in with your other device. Wish they had another outlet on top or the button switched to the top for another outlet on the side. No other complaints with the actual device itself. Also would be cool if they added in a main name for whatever you have plugged in and a nickname option. For instance- it is easy to say lamp vs light and it to not be recognized.

Best smart plugs for Alexa!
I recommend these smart plugs if you use Alexa. Iâve tried other brands and their endless firmware updates, etc. Theyâll work, then theyâll stop. If you use Alexa, donât mess around. Just get these. They work seamlessly. Good quality. The price is right – I usually would pick up during Amazonâs regular sales. Does what youâll need them to do without frustration.

Great Smart Plug for Daily Convenience!
I grabbed this smart plug during a lightning deal, and itâs been a great purchase! I connected it to a tabletop lamp and set up a routine for it to turn on in the morning when I wake up, off in the afternoon, on again in the evening at sunset, and off at bedtime. I also love the flexibility to turn the light on from the app if we stay up later. Highly recommend!

This plug has changed my life
I have been holding off on trying out smart plugs because I just didn’t feel the time was right. Well, I was in need of having something that could turn my curtain lights on and off while I wait for my main bedroom light to be fixed.I was offered this smart plug at a great discount price and figured I might as well throw it into an order of mine.I’m in love with this thing. I’ve only used it so far with my curtain lights, but like many of Alexa products or products that can enhance your Alexa products — it’s great!I hope to be able to own a few more for other devices around the apartment at some point.
