Best iron I’ve ever used.
I’ve used a variety of irons for the last thirty-plus years, and this is THE BEST iron I have every used. It’s got great heat and a easy-to-use dial to select the amount of heat you need. I need over 400 degrees for my hair and, on my previous irons, it would take four or five minutes to heat up. Not this one. It goes from zero to 435 degrees in under a minute. Amazing. And it’s so smooth, it just glides over my hair. There’s never a snag. I get a sleek press that leaves my hair stick-straight. I’m so pleased with it, I’m ordering another one to have as my back-up. I might order two, just to make sure I’m never without one of these irons.

Great Product, Definitely Recommend!
Product is amazing! It straightened my hair with ease and made it super straight! I love that it has the temperature adjustment on the bottom of the handle as a rotating knob. Tool gets hot super fast and the glove that comes with it is very helpful as well. The tool also has a beeping sound when it has reached its desired temperature.

as long as I use a heat protectant before using the straightener, my hair is left feeling silky, soft, and not frizzy. I haven’t really used the glove to be honest, but it’s nice to have the option. Works really well and I love the auto shut off feature.

Great for the price
This is a great flat iron for the price. I currently have a 1.5inch $185 flat iron. I needed a 1 inch as I just got my hair cut shorter but didnât want to buy another super expensive flat iron. I trust hot tools brand and this did not disappoint, heats super fast, works well, love the actual temperature display. Itâs a win. Iâve only had it about two weeks so hopefully it holds up over time.

Great flat iron! Really affordable for the quality. I got this bc my hair looked so great after my stylist did it and this was the flat iron that she was using. Absolutely love it! Hair is so shiny and doesnât get caught in the plates like my old one.

For the price itâs decentâ¦butâ¦..
Little back story I purchased the original GHD flat iron. After tax it was close to $200. A few days later I purchased this one after seeing that it really is highly rated out of so many reviews. I needed to give this one a try to hopefully save myself some money. Iâm glad I gave this one a try because I am currently in the process of returning the GHD. I truly cannot justify paying $200 (almost) vs this $50 one. They truly are EXTREMELY similar in results (at least for my hair), both beep, both heat up super fast. I do think the GHD gets my hair a little more pin straight like I would prefer. Itâs very lightweight and small (but straightens my hair so fast!) compared to this hot tools flat iron. I am sad to return it but the price is whatâs getting me. Itâs very cheap feeling because it is so lightweight. If it was $100 I probably could have justified keeping that one and returning this one because I really do love how straight it gets my hair, but again itâs waaayyyy too expensive. I would love to repurchase the GHD one again someday if this one doesnât end up holding up as long. Iâve noticed this one does straighten my hair good by gives a lot of static kickback. Not sure why that is. The few times I did use the GHD I didnât have any static to my hair at all. This hot tools one also can leave a crease in your hair if your not quick enough sliding the plate down. I didnât get that at alll with the GHD so I will definitely have to learn to work quicker. Using the Kenra blow dry thermal heat protectant spray is chefs kiss along with either flat iron (hot tools/GHD). Esp if you spray a little on your hand and rub your hair after it helps with the static from this hot tools one and makes the hair so soft with either flat iron. If I ever find a really good deal/gently used priced GHD I will be extremely tempted to purchase it and put this hot tools one on the back burner. Itâs worth $50. But you get what you pay for. Itâs not perfect and there is better out there just sucks the better can feel/look cheaper but be way more expensiveâ¦.giving it 4 stars because Iâm 90% sold, my heart will miss the GHD 100%â¦.Proâs: affordable, long plates (1 1/4), beeps when ready, heats up very quickly, has multiple heat settings, has a locking clamp feature..Conâs: large/long flat iron (compared to GHD Orig.), heavier (than GHD Orig.), causing static in my hair, not as pin straight (compared to GHD Orig.) doesnât give that great of curls coming from a flat ironâ¦

Learning curve, but then GREAT
I bought the 1.5″ flat iron to do beach waves on my hair. I went on youtube to find a video which gave step by step instructions on how to make the curls. I do have to confess there is a bit of a learning curve, but once I got the technique down, I give this tool 5 Stars!!!
