crazy variety for play makeup; age appropriate?
This is an odd mix, as I don’t understand who the gift is for.Some of the items have legitimate & mature value – the eyeshadows are pretty good, one or two are even duochrome, all are pigmented quite a bit, and the matte lip glosses aren’t playing!You can definitely powder a bit with the face palette, but definitely the concealer stick, and disappointingly, the concealer palette, are just super waxy/creamy. They move all around and don’t settle. As an adult, I’d love a high quality concealer palette like the one provided!The chap stick is actually really awesome too. Super smoothing, hydrating, touch of shine. Beauty blender useful, as are a couple of the brushes…however these are like imitation mature makeup. The primer and complex palettes are quite a lot for tweens and teens to use, especially when the pigments DO stand out. It would be an exact copy of mommy-and-me, without any of the quality. Wouldn’t you just be better handing down some of your own good stuff? And i wouldn’t exactly gift something like this – it’s a bit much.But if you want the whole makeup experience in one bag, this is it (sans foundation, but a skilled MUA would just use the concealer palette if it were worth something). And some of them actually really deliver.Note that in the picture, the pieces are doubled – all the items are laid out, and then they’re all shown sticking out of the bag. It looks like WAY more than you’re getting, but you are already getting a lot.I also super appreciate that all contaminate-able products (lips, etc) come SEALED.
